Restore and Heal Workshop

This event is a beautiful combination of restorative yoga and energy healing. You will be placed into 5-6 comfortable supportive yoga poses with blankets, blocks and bolsters for 7-10 minutes while two energy healers go around to each person assisting the body back into a more balanced state. Energy healing is done through the hands either directly or indirectly onto the body using universal energy to support the person in need. It provides deep relaxation and relief from any kind of discomforts happening in the mental or physical body. There will also be some hands on manipulation and massage from one of our massage therapists as well in during the postures. It is a time to gently restore and heal the body back to a more balanced state. During the practice we will be integrating the use of Essential Oils to heighten your experience of relaxation. Limited space available. We will only be taking 15 participants so that we can give our undivided attention. It will be a small and intimate setting.

Yoga for Beginners- The 8 Limbs of Yoga

Yoga for Beginners:

The 8 Limbs of Yoga

Yoga is more than just a system of movements to improve the health of the body and mind. Central to the practice of Yoga are guidelines that help us to live meaningful lives outside of the studio. The 8 Limbs of Yoga can be seen as a path towards optimal health on all levels - physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

In this 8 week series, Jessica will guide you through practices to help you understand and integrate the 8 Limbs of Yoga into your daily life. Classes will use a variety of Yoga styles, with emphasis on safe movement and alignment.

Cost is $135 + tx for the 8 week course. You will also receive a link to a recording of each week's class to give you an opportunity to practice on your own. Intro to Aerial Yoga

Aerial yoga or also known as anti-gravity yoga is a yoga-based practice using suspended yoga silks from the ceiling. It is a yoga practice that carries both modern elements as well as ancient yoga techniques.

This introduction to aerial yoga will give you the basics on safety, movement, benefits and rules while using the yoga silks. Participants engage in poses while utilizing the silks that allow them to suspend in mid-air. Based on the theory of counter-gravity, suspending the body via the silk is extremely beneficial. Gravity stresses the body by weighing the body down, causing compression of the spine and increased muscle tension. Counter-gravity works to reverse the negative effects of gravity by decompressing the spine, releasing muscle tension, and enhancing blood circulation. The silk is also intended to assist in proper body alignment and deepen awareness.

Participants must be in good physical condition in order to safely engage in this exercise with no problems. If you have ever had surgery on your hips, or if you have had any other surgery within the last year, avoid aerial yoga and consult with a doctor. Aerial yoga is not recommended for pregnant women, those with glaucoma, people who suffer from either high or very low blood pressure, those with osteoporosis, or those who have recently suffered from a stroke.
