Emily Zanini

RYT 200, yin, restorative, aerial

Emily is an enthusiastic and energetic yoga teacher born and raised in Sudbury. She began practicing yoga in her teens and instantly connected with the mind body aspect of her practice. Emily's passion for yoga grew greater each time she rolled out her mat and it did not take her long to decide she needed to share this passion with others.

Emily has lived experience with depression, anxiety and body image issues and has used her practice to manage her mental health. In 2016, she created the Sudbury Yogathon for Mental Health, a fundraiser designed to bring together all ages and breeds of yogis to raise awareness and funds for mental health. Her vision of a mentally healthy and accepting community stems into the studio, with her classes being multi-levelled and focused on breath work and self-awareness. If you can't find her in the studio, she can be found spreading mental health awareness throughout the community with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).

Although her heart lies in a Baptiste Power yoga influenced practice, Emily enjoys teaching restorative, prenatal and aerial yoga.

Amanda Fluke

RYT 200, Power Yoga

Originally from Sault Ste. Marie, I was trained as a competitive dancer for 12 years and then during my undergraduate education I started taking yoga classes. I loved the physical and mental benefits that yoga had to offer and I wanted to be able share that with others. I completed my yoga teacher training at Sault Hot Yoga in 2015 and then moved to Sudbury to pursue my Master of Science in biology at Laurentian University. I'm very passionate about health and wellness and when I'm not teaching yoga, you'll find me working at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. Looking forward to seeing you in the studio!

Tarryn Cothill

RYT 200, Children's Yoga, Infant Massage

Tarryn has a Diploma in Kinesiology, is a registered trainer in Infant Massage and Children’s yoga teacher. Completing her Vinyasa 200Hr YTT deepened her love for yoga even more. Tarryn’s yoga career was born through the passion of passing on the message of mindfulness and health to our children which subsequently grew to expanding this to adults. She loves sharing the beliefs that life should be lived with joy, gratitude, and a dedication to being present in the moment. These feelings inform and guide her teachings, which are focused on helping our children and adults better connect to themselves, their communities, and to the rest of the world.

Karen Garneau

RYT 200, Children's Yoga, Restorative

Karen has counselled and worked with children, youth and families to increase wellness and improve mental health in our community for the past 20 years. Karen hold a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, a Honours Bachelor of Social Worker and a Master of Social Work.

Karen was first introduced to yoga and meditation as a child. As a youth she lost touch with her yoga and meditation practice. Life struggles, pursuing a career, raising a child, graduate school studies and running a business made life complicated, exhausting and at time turbulent. Karen’s return to yoga and meditation provided her with the peace and balance she sought. Recognizing the gift that yoga and meditation has been in her life has motivated Karen to share this gift with others. Karen completed her 200hr yoga teacher training with Shirley Williams at Buddha Rider in Collingwood, Ontario, her Children’s Yoga Teacher Training with Aruna Humphrey at Young Yoga Masters in Niagara Falls, Ontario and her Restorative Yoga Teacher Training with Andrea Peloso in Toronto, Ontario. She has also been certified in Mindfulness Awareness Stabilization Training (MAST) and Mindfulness for Kids.

As a mental health professional and a yoga instructor it is Karen’s passion to marry these two roles.

I have been a Registered Nurse since 2009. I recently completed my 200 hour Vinyasa yoga teacher training with Maggie Thomas from Integrated Transformation. I am deeply grateful for this experience. I enjoy being a yoga student and looking forward to teaching . I am thankful for the wisdom shared with me in my life experience. Yoga has been a part of my life for over 15 years. I’ve grown stronger, more flexible and grounded on and off the mat. Yoga has given me inspiration to live a mindful lifestyle.

Cheri Fuchs

RYT 200

Yoga was a way of life for me before I even knew or understood what yoga was. My life flowed toward the principles, discipline and practices that embody what yoga is today and when I discovered the nourishing mental, spiritual and emotional benefits of the physical asanas, I was hooked! I was fortunate enough to obtain my 200 YTT locally through an organization called Integrated Transformation and feel immense gratitude, that I now have the opportunity to assist others growth in their own personal practice. Namaste.

Jessica Brugess

Registered Kinesiologist

Jessica Brugess has been a practising Kinesiologist since 2005, and has been a Reiki Level II Practitioner since 2009. She has been self employed since 2008, working mostly out of clients' homes, and at various community gym locations throughout the Sudbury Area. In 2013, she put her practice on hold to pursue some athletic goals of her own, earning a bronze medal at the 2017 Canadian National Boxing Championships and retiring from the sport in December of 2017. Through this intense athletic experience, she has developed a much greater appreciation for the peaceful side of life, and she endeavours to combine that intense drive with a serene optimism in all that she does.

Energy healing/Reiki had been her "go to treatment" when stumped by a client's progression, and she now combines her scientific, Kinesiology background with an intuitive energetic sense to help clients clear blockages, overcome discomfort, and open themselves up to the joys that life has to offer.

Some of Jessica's joys include spending time out of doors with her Shepherd/Husky mix Miley, camping and foraging in the green seasons and snowshoeing when it's white outside. She also enjoys cooking with things she finds in the forest, preserving and fermenting local produce, and she is improving her patience and mastering the art/science of baking as well. She also loves to write and has a blog at www.justbekin.wordpress.com .

Selina Rose

RYT 200

As a holistic nutritionist and yoga teacher I am fascinated by the connection between the nervous system and digestion. I began practicing yoga to heal my digestive system, little did I know I’d be opening myself to a life-long journey with a multitude of benefits. I teach yoga to help others revive their tired over-stimulated nervous systems and improve their overall health by going inward to listen to the messages their intuition and body have to offer. My yoga classes are slow and challenging, leaving you refreshed, reconnected and feeling accomplished. As a teacher, my mission is to leave you more self-aware and self-compassionate so you can have a healthier relationship with your body, food, and yourself.
