Wendy Humphris

RYT-200, Yoga for the Special Child

As a nurse for the last 27+ years, Wendy has dealt closely with many individuals who have suffered needlessly with preventable diseases, working for many years with palliative and chronic care patients.

This often left her asking 'WHY?'.

Her desire and passion to help people was hindered by the disease orientated methodology of our healthcare system and gradually led her towards a more natural and holistic, person-orientated approach to healthcare.

So began her journey into holistic nutrition, holistic cancer care and yoga. Using these modalities to educate, inform and guide people towards knowing what their unique needs were for optimal health of body, mind and soul. This complimentary and alternative medicine (CAM) approach to remedy root causes uses natural means to promote positive lifestyle changes and whole-food nutrition thereby gently and naturally restoring balance.

As a Registered Nutritional Consultant Practitioner, Certified Holistic Cancer Practitioner , Nutritional Microscopist, Registered Yoga Teacher and Licensed Yoga for the Special Child Practitioner, Wendy will work with you, bringing guidance and accountablitiy to your journey towards optimal health, longevity and happiness.

Emily Zanini

RYT-200, yin, restorative, aerial

Emily is an enthusiastic and energetic yoga teacher born and raised in Sudbury. She began practicing yoga in her teens and instantly connected with the mind body aspect of her practice. Emily's passion for yoga grew greater each time she rolled out her mat and it did not take her long to decide she needed to share this passion with others.

Emily has lived experience with depression, anxiety and body image issues and has used her practice to manage her mental health. In 2016, she created the Sudbury Yogathon for Mental Health, a fundraiser designed to bring together all ages and breeds of yogis to raise awareness and funds for mental health. Her vision of a mentally healthy and accepting community stems into the studio, with her classes being multi-levelled and focused on breath work and self-awareness. If you can't find her in the studio, she can be found spreading mental health awareness throughout the community with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).

Although her heart lies in a Baptiste Power yoga influenced practice, Emily enjoys teaching restorative, prenatal and aerial yoga.
